Nature's Heart: Gardening is believing in tomorrow.

An idea germinated from a grant from Slow Food of NNJ as an initiative to combat childhood obesity and to inspire environmental education, led to view an unutilized courtyard as a classroom. We are immensely grateful to all generous supporters, donors, who donated time, talent, resources, cash, gifts or something else. All selflessly gave to benefit and to inspire sustainability. The School With Heart looks forward to nurturing more tasty crops and inquisitive young minds in the coming seasons.

Kshiken Malaxkwsita : Lenni Lenape for "growing beans"

Mrs. Forte' and Mrs. Montanez's classes worked together to plant 'pole bean' plants.

Each student planted their own pole bean plant.

Students, along with their teachers create the teepee for their pole bean plants.
