Nature's Heart: Gardening is believing in tomorrow.

An idea germinated from a grant from Slow Food of NNJ as an initiative to combat childhood obesity and to inspire environmental education, led to view an unutilized courtyard as a classroom. We are immensely grateful to all generous supporters, donors, who donated time, talent, resources, cash, gifts or something else. All selflessly gave to benefit and to inspire sustainability. The School With Heart looks forward to nurturing more tasty crops and inquisitive young minds in the coming seasons.

My Bonnie Lies Out in the Garden

Mrs Rella, one of our third grade teachers, pursued a program where every third grader receives a baby cabbage plant through the Bonnie Plant Program. Once the cabbage plants are planted in the ground, each should grow to almost 4 feet!

Believe it or not, pictured below are over 100 baby cabbage plants!
